ReNew Cumnock is the name for our new pilot project, which will see the development of a Re-use Hub in the heart of New Cumnock that operates as a viable social enterprise, developing skills and creating sustainable jobs, whilst also acting as a welcoming space where the community can come together to learn, share skills and socialise. The pilot project is funded by UK Community Renewal Fund.
We will be holding a series of events for the whole community where you can find out more about how to repair/remake your unwanted items as well as a series of workshops where you can learn new repair skills.
The programme of events will be posted here over the next couple of weeks.
Tern TV / Gadabout Films have produced an episode of ‘Grand Tours of Scotland’s Rivers’ which includes details of the 1950 Knockshinnoch mining disaster.
