We’ve recently acquired and are revitalising the former Trotters building, which has been vacant for over 20 years. Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s RCGF Fund (administered by EAC), the UK Government’s UK COF Fund, Inspiring Scotland’s RICIA Fund, East Ayrshire Council’s REF Fund, Scottish Power Renewables’ Hare Hill Windfarm, and Red Rock Power’s Afton Windfarm, we are creating a dynamic community space.
The building will house a café, workshops (focusing on repair skills using textiles and woodwork with potential for other creative uses), a pop-up shop including showcasing products made by local makers, a community co-working hub available for hire, and a community space. This project is designed to support re-use, creativity, entrepreneurship, and community connection.
